Project Overview

Schibsted is a leader in media and online marketplaces across the Nordics, with a portfolio that includes renowned brands like Aftenposten, Finn, and VG. Known for driving digital innovation, Schibsted plays a central role in shaping Norway’s digital ecosystem and continues to expand its influence into Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. With millions of users, Schibsted is constantly enhancing the digital experiences it offers, making everyday interactions more seamless and secure for its customers.


To simplify access across its diverse set of services, Schibsted developed the Schibsted Account—a centralized hub that allows users to manage their identity, payments, messages, and privacy preferences all from one platform. With a single login, they can navigate seamlessly between Schibsted’s many brands, gaining control over their personal information in a secure and transparent manner.

This new solution not only improves convenience but also strengthens data security, offering individuals more autonomy over their digital experience within Schibsted’s growing ecosystem.
Redesigning for Scalability and Trust

As part of the User Foundations team, I joined my colleagues in rebuilding the Schibsted Account page with the goal of ensuring it was scalable for future growth. Schibsted’s portfolio continues to expand, and our challenge was to design a flexible system that could easily integrate new services as they were added. My focus was on creating a design that ensured smooth user flows, no matter how complex the underlying infrastructure became.

In collaboration with the Privacy team and UX writers, I worked to ensure that the new interface met strict data privacy standards. A key objective was to foster user trust through clear communication about how sensitive information is handled. By prioritizing transparency and security, our team aimed to reassure users and strengthen their relationship with Schibsted’s services.

The new page successfully launched with several key design improvements. As the company expands its offerings across different markets, the Schibsted Account will remain a critical tool, enhancing both convenience and security for millions of users across the Nordic region.
